Google has announced that 3 new AI features are coming to Chrome on Desktop and are powered by the latest Google AI and Gemini models.

1. Google Lens on Desktop

You might be familiar with Google Lens on mobile but for the first time, this feature is coming on desktop and this is going to be immensely useful. You can now use Google Lens on your desktop and search for images and text right from your Chrome tab. Look out for the Google Lens icon in your address bar and you can just click on it to bring up the selection tool.

2. Tab Compare

If you are someone who likes to read reviews from multiple websites before purchasing a product, some good news for you. The new Tab compare feature takes product data from across multiple tabs and gives you a AI-generated overview in one single place and saves time lost in endless tab switching

3. AI for Search History

Stumbled upon a nice website recently but don't remember the name or URL?  Soon you can just ask Chrome to help you search for visited websites in a natural conversation with the new AI powered search history. Just open your Chrome history and ask something like, "What was that restaurant in Mumbai I looked up last week?" and Chrome will show the relevant mathches from your browsing history.

Overall, these are some useful features and I can't wait to try them out. It will first starting rolling out in US though and hopefully be available in other countries in the near future.

Could contain: Plant, Potted Plant, Text, Leaf, Herbs
