Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone SE 4, and according to a 9to5Mac report, this new generation will sport a design similar to the iPhone 14. Featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch, flat edges, and the same 1170 x 2532 resolution, it marks a significant departure from the current SE model. Notably, Face ID will replace the Home Button with Touch ID, although Dynamic Island remains exclusive to the higher-end models.

Under the hood, the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by Apple's A18 chip with 8GB of RAM, the same SoC as the base iPhone 16. This brings Apple Intelligence features to the SE lineup, enhancing performance. On the camera front, the device will inherit the iPhone 15’s 48MP wide lens and 12MP front camera but will forgo ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. However, the 48MP sensor will enable 2x optical zoom capabilities.

The SE 4 will also debut Apple's first in-house 5G modem, codenamed "Centauri." This modem will handle 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS while promising improved battery efficiency, especially in Low Power Mode. As a testing ground for the new modem, the SE 4 is expected to launch in spring 2025, with analysts predicting a price hike to around $459–$499.
