Tesla CEO Elon Musk made some bold announcements at the "We Robot" event, unveiling a fleet of fully autonomous vehicles, including the Robo Taxi and Cyber Cab, while providing a sneak peek at the Optimus humanoid robot. The event showcased Tesla’s advancements in autonomous transport and robotics, which Musk believes will revolutionize daily commuting and labour tasks.

Robo Taxi and Cyber Cab

The highlight of the event was Tesla's autonomous vehicles. Musk arrived in a "Cyber Cab," an electric, fully driverless car optimized for mass transit. He announced that 50 fully autonomous cars were operating during the event, featuring the Model Y and the futuristic Cyber Cab. With no steering wheel or pedals, the Cyber Cab is designed to offer passengers an experience of fully driverless travel.

Tesla plans to make these vehicles available for under $30,000, with fully autonomous operation expected to launch in Texas and California as early as next year.

The Revo Van for High-Density Transport

For larger-scale transport, Musk introduced the Revo Van, which can carry up to 20 passengers or be used for goods transport. He emphasized that this vehicle could be configured to meet the needs of high-density cities, significantly lowering travel costs and solving logistical challenges.

Optimus Humanoid Robot

Musk also revealed exciting developments with Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus. The robot, built using the same technologies Tesla has developed for its vehicles, is envisioned to perform tasks such as babysitting, walking dogs, and serving as a personal assistant. Musk claimed that the cost of an Optimus robot could drop to between $20,000 and $30,000, eventually making it accessible to the average household.

The robot is still under development, but Musk expressed confidence that it would become a major product in the future, potentially surpassing the scale of Tesla’s car business.
