Truecaller has become a popular app for caller ID and spam blocking, but it's not without its critics.

Pros:

  • Identify unknown callers: No more guessing who's on the other end of the line. Truecaller uses a community-based database to identify callers, even if they're not in your contacts.
  • Block spam calls: Truecaller can automatically block spam calls based on its database and user reports. This can significantly reduce unwanted calls.
  • Improved communication: With caller ID, you can decide whether to answer a call or not. This can be helpful for avoiding sales calls or scam attempts.
  • Additional features: Truecaller offers features like call recording, messaging, and chat, making it a more comprehensive communication tool.

Cons:

  • Privacy concerns: Truecaller relies on a user-generated database, which means you're sharing your number and potentially your contacts to use the service.
  • Accuracy: The accuracy of Truecaller's information depends on the community. New or less common numbers might not be identified correctly.
  • Potential misuse: Some users might exploit Truecaller to find personal information about others.
  • Subscription fees: While the basic features are free, Truecaller offers premium features with a subscription fee.

Discussion points:

  • Is sacrificing some privacy worth the benefits of spam blocking and caller ID?
  • How can Truecaller improve the accuracy of its database?
  • Are there ways to use Truecaller responsibly without infringing on others' privacy?
  • Are the premium features worth the cost?

By considering these points, you can decide if Truecaller is a valuable tool for you. There are also alternative apps that offer similar features, so it's worth exploring your options before you decide.

Truecaller, a popular app for identifying unknown callers, is a double-edged sword. On the plus side, it helps block spam calls and identify businesses or contacts not in your phonebook. However, privacy concerns exist, as Truecaller relies on a user-generated database that might contain inaccurate information. Ultimately,  T mobile billing issues Truecaller can be a friend for security, but be cautious about the data it displays.

Yeh, everything comes with good & bad side likewise positive & negative as well. But we can't ignore good & positive but try to eliminate bad & negative.

    • Know Who’s Calling Even Before Your Phone Rings With Call Alerts!!
Identifying someone you know is about to call. Thanks to Truecaller’s Call Alerts feature, you won’t be the person everyone dreads at the cinema.

      How do Call Alerts Work?

With the Call Alert feature, you can set your phone to silent if you want to ignore a call or move to a quieter place if you need to answer it. This feature uses Data/Wi-Fi to securely send an alert from the caller's phone to yours as soon as the call is made. Available only on Android.

Steps to Enable Call Alerts On Android:
Head over to the Truecaller app Go to Call Settings Under notifications Toggle on Call alert notifications

      For IOS:
Enable push notifications for Truecaller on your iOS device settings to use Call Alert:
Go to Settings > Notifications > Truecaller > Toggle on the Sounds and Badges.

Note: Call alerts only work for calls from Android devices with Truecaller installed. Calls from iOS devices won't trigger a Call alert.

      Fun Facts About this Feature
Call alerts work only when a Truecaller user calls you. As Data/Wi-Fi is faster than a regular cellular network, the notification reaches you first, before an actual call comes through. Call alerts would require notification permission to work seamlessly on the app. Download Truecaller: https://tc.onelink.me/571208033/1fqyddvr
