MediaTek Dimensity 9400 3nm flagship chip revealed

MediaTek has launched the Dimensity 9400, its newest flagship smartphone chip designed for better AI, gaming, and photography.  As the latest product in their top-tier lineup, the Dimensity 9400 offers a big jump in performance thanks to its upgraded design based on Arm’s v9.2 CPU architecture.

 

The chip features one high-performance Cortex-X925 core running over 3.62GHz, along with 3 Cortex-X4 cores and 4 Cortex-A720 cores. This makes it 35% faster in single-core tasks and 28% faster in multi-core tasks compared to the Dimensity 9300. Built using TSMC’s 3nm technology, the Dimensity 9400 is also 40% more power-efficient, giving users longer battery life while still delivering top-level performance with its advanced GPU and NPU.

• A refreshed 3GPP Release-17 5G modem with 4CC-CA and up to 7Gbps sub-6GHz performance.
• New 4nm Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip with 7.3Gbps data rates 
• Support for Wi-Fi 7 tri-band MLO. MediaTek Xtra RangeTM 3.0, for greater Wi-Fi coverage.
• 5G/4G Dual SIM Dual Active, Dual Data capabilities 
• Support for tri-fold smartphones 

 

The Vivo X200 Series could be the first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400.
