Truecaller and Location Tracking: What You Need to Know

At Truecaller, we prioritise user privacy and data security, which is why we do not offer features to track or display someone’s exact or near location. Our app only shows general location information based on the area code of a phone number, or if a user has manually entered their address or city in their profile. This means you can see the region from where a call is made, but not an exact pinpoint on a map.

Many users ask whether Truecaller can help track their loved ones’ live locations. While this isn’t possible in Truecaller, we understand the need for such a feature for safety reasons. 
 

To address this, we have a separate app called Guardians. If your loved ones are logged into Guardian, you can track their location in real time, ensuring their safety. 



This app is designed specifically for location-sharing with trusted contacts, so you can have peace of mind without compromising privacy.

Remember, Truecaller is built to identify and block spam calls, help you manage your contacts, and ensure your privacy. For live location sharing, Guardian is the perfect solution to help trace and protect your loved ones.
